Ryan Aasman has been announced as our new head coach for the U18AAA team for the 2020-21 season.
Full coaching staff for the U18AAA team will be released in the coming weeks.
A few words from our new GM Jesse Hale:
"I am very excited about bringing Ryan Aasman into the Calgary Northstars association as the new U18AAA Head Coach. Aasman will bring an identity that fits the mould that CNHA is trying to achieve. His experience as a player will relate well to our athletes as these players will be aspiring to be what he was at their age. The most attractive attributes that led to selecting Ryan are his focus on development with a players first approach, his work ethic which will bleed into our players and team identity as well as his attention to detail. Having worked with Ryan previously, I am confident our players will progress as a team as well as individuals and enjoy coming to the rink daily. As a player they will know their coach will put the player's needs at the forefront and work tirelessly helping each player/person reach their optimal potential and their goals. This is a huge step forward in the Calgary Northstars Association having Aasman behind the bench of our U18AAA program, I am looking forward to watching the progression first hand."
Mike Langen has been announced as our new head coach for the U15AAA Sabres for the 2020-21 season.
Our GM, Jesse Hale has this to say:
Marcus Cheng will be our head coach for the U16AAA Blazers for the 2020-21 season.
Jesse's thoughts on Marcus:
"Marcus Cheng is a newcomer to the Northstars Association as a coach but is an alumni as a player and a very welcome addition. When I took this position as General Manager, Marcus was on the top of my list to try and recruit to coach within our association. He is a true up and comer as a coach. His experience, the way he challenges himself and players to progress will be an asset for years to come."
We are happy to announce that we will have Doug Wright return as our head coach for the U16AAA Canucks for the 2020-21 season.
